Watering the Flowers

Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes. Isaac Taylor Headland. 1900.

I water the flowers, I water the flowers,
I water them morning and evening hours,
I never wait till the flowers are dry,
I water them e'er the sun is high;
A basin of water, a basin of tea,
I water the flowers, they're op'ning, you see;
A basin of water, another beside,
I water the flowers, they're opening wide.
